Melrose Diner

my sister and I enjoyed breakfast there this morning first time. We were welcomed by everyone with big smiles. The staff was so friendly and polite. smells great when you walk into bacon eggs, pancakes. I ordered the banana walnut pancakes. My sister had the Greek omelette. The banana walnut pancakes were some of the best I’ve ever had absolutely delicious well cooked and not at all stingy with the bananas or the walnuts. three good size pancakes, plenty of syrup that was on the table most places these days give you a tiny little portion. my sister loved her Greek omelette. We were impressed with this place. Great staff Great food. Definitely two thumbs up and we will be back.

I had a disappointing experience at Melrose Diner. Unfortunately, the food was pretty subpar; the potatoes were undercooked, hard, and tasted off, and the turkey was very dry. We also had a long wait for a table to open up. On a positive note, the service was warm and welcoming, which made our experience a bit more pleasant. However, I wouldn’t recommend this breakfast spot based on my experience—maybe it was just a bad day for them.

Ordered an omelette with wheat toast, but I never received the toast. I also specifically asked for ketchup, but that was missed too. Small details, but service definitely needs improvement. That said, the food itself was great.

What a wonderful spot! The owners are so kind, made me and my daughter feel so special. The food was delicious (the pancakes were SO good!) exactly how you expect a local town diner!

This place is my favorite local breakfast spot. The commuter rail running right out the windows adds a great effect for my toddlers! The food is so good, especially the corned beef hash, but the staff/service/people are even better.
